Nelson joins Team Epiphany 2021 Summer Intern Program.

Cam Press Release 4

Marion, Iowa – Epiphany, a Corridor public relations and marketing firm, is excited to announce Cam Nelson as their summer 2021 marketing intern.

“As an educator and marketer I am a firm believer in the internship opportunity, as it gives students and aspiring professionals a chance to test the waters, so to speak.” Says owner Christa Nelson. “I am excited we are able to continue our summer internship program, and in particular this opportunity, with a very special intern.  Cam is no stranger to Epiphany or the work as he has grown up helping us to spark.” Nelson added,  “ It is every entrepreneur’s dream that their kids be interested in the business they have put their blood, sweat, and tears into. I say this everyday, but I am living the dream!”

Cam is finishing his sophomore year studying Sports Management and Human Resources at Grand View University in Des Moines, where he is a member of the Men’s Basketball Team, the View Crew, Team GV, and FCA. He is passionate about helping others and making sure everyone has a voice. He has literally grown up at Epiphany, sparking with them from the beginning, in various capacities such as model, actor, and strike team leader to name a few, and now, as an intern.

Cam is also excited about the internship and says, “This summer is going to be great because I really feel like I’m working with the two best people who are experts at their jobs and I get the opportunity to learn from the best.”

As part of the Summer Program, Cam will be partnered with JK Pushing Tournament, a part of the 4 Life  Foundation. He will be shadowing the organization’s director, Jimmy Scroggins and serving as assistant to the tournament director for their summer basketball series in Arizona. This partnership with JK Pushing and Epiphany will allow Cam to receive experience in both traditional and sports marketing, as well as sports and event management. While in Iowa, Cam will be working with Epiphany on special projects and will assist in the launch of their summer campaign.

“I am looking forward to having Cameron join me this year as I continue to bring a unique form of basketball tournaments to the state of Arizona. I am most excited about training and teaching him how to successfully bridge gaps between sports, character, and community. My hope for him is that he will embrace each task with open arms and learn all that he can. Hopefully he can learn some things that he can take back to Iowa with him and better assist the communities in his area,” says Jimmy.

Since their re-launch in January 2018, Epiphany has quickly become the local marketing firm to watch. Team Epiphany has a keen interest in helping local companies and nonprofits achieve success. The power packed team is led by Christa Nelson, a 2020 KCRG 9 Who Care Honoree, gifted encourager, and natural brand influencer, who is passionate about helping firms of all sizes grow big dreams.
