Meet Your CMO

Christa is an Influencer, Tactical Marketing Strategist, Graphic/Web Designer, Photographer, Digital Marketing Specialist, Social Media & SEO Guru, corporate trainer, and owner of Epiphany. (Why we say she doubles a superhero.) With over 25 years of experience in marketing and business ownership, she holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and graduated magna cum laude with her Master of Business Administration. Christa also earned the Certified Professional Services Marketer designation in October 2003, granted by The Society of Marketing Professional Services, and is one of the few legal marketers in Iowa.

As a veteran college professor, Christa has spent a decade teaching marketing at all levels, empowering young business and marketing professionals. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Business at Mount Mercy University and previously served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Dubuque’s accelerated MBA (LIFE) program, as well as at Mount Mercy University in their MBA and Adult Accelerated programs. Christa frequently guest lectures on various marketing topics, branding techniques, and communication tools.

Christa was in the 2017 Marion Leadership in Action Class and was named one of KCRG’s 9 Who Care in 2020. In 2021-2022, she was one of the Iowa Private Schools Professors who received an ICOER Grant for her research on making the classroom a more equitable learning environment, helping students overcome learning barriers. In 2023, Christa was presented with a Business Innovation & Support Grant from the City of Marion and Marion Chamber of Commerce.

Christa is passionate about strategic marketing, serving as a Fractional CMO, and training and developing young marketing professionals. She excels at helping firms of all sizes grow big dreams through her strategic insights and encouraging approach. Prior to moving back to Iowa, Christa co-founded and operated The Epiphany Group, Inc., a full-service marketing firm in Atlanta.

As a philanthropic leader, Christa is active in her community as a Marion Chamber Red Coats Ambassador and previously served on the boards of both the Friends of Czech Village and Marion Cares. She volunteers her talents with Worldmarker, Linn-Mar Foundation, Marion Evening Rotary Club, Linn-Mar Booster Club, Attachment & Trauma Network, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, House of Hope, His Hands Free Clinic, and Antioch Christian Church. Christa resides in Marion and is a proud boy mom.

Christa greatly enjoys collaborating with talented individuals and firms, holding them in high regard. Gallup’s StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessed Christa’s top five themes as Strategic, Developer, Communication, Arranger, and Adaptability, and provided personalized strength insights that describe her quite accurately. Real Colors also accurately identified her as Orange, Blue, and Gold.
