Meet Derek Oja

Derek was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, attending Washington High School and earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing up on the hill at Mount Mercy. Throughout his professional career, Derek has managed nearly every aspect of marketing that there is, with industries ranging from tax software and equipment manufacturing, to breweries and healthcare practices. He is passionate about helping others grow their business no matter their budget or goals.

During his free time, Derek enjoys traveling with his wife, Brittney, and their friends & families, attempting to be an average golfer, biking (the bar-to-bar kind, not the Tour de France kind), cooking, and watching sports on lazy weekends. The boss in the Oja household is their 10-year-old yellow lab, Lucy.

Derek also enjoys giving back to the community whenever possible and has recently dedicated time to the Special Olympics, Meals from the Heartland, Habitat for Humanity, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and Eastern Iowa Arts Academy.
